Stunning ‘Men Matter’ Campaign Highlights 30 Men and Their Mental Health

30 men dressed up, posed for a portrait and shared insight into their own mental health journeys all in support of highlighting the importance of having these conversations.

KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa (21 November 2023) – As November is usually dedicated to the guys (we see you Movember) and follows on from Mental Health Awareness Month, “magic maker” Jane Linley-Thomas together with The ReJoyce Collection, KindnessCan and Amy White Media got together to capture the mental health stories of 30 inspiring men.

The quest, to highlight men’s mental health conversations and…

“Because as a daughter of a phenomenal father, wife of a magnificent man and mother to two precious sons, I felt compelled this #movember to shine a light and hold space because #menmatter

Each and every man arrived, shared and inspired with their story.

It was joy, courage and vulnerability, so beautiful. The response daily is encouraging and amplifies the need to keep talk and seek support as you don’t have to battle alone” – Jane Linley-Thomas

The men who took part in the project included content creators, chefs, businessmen, physiologists, fathers, musicians, actors, freelancers and so many more, including Jane’s 13-year-old son. Who gave his own tips for fellow men to use when facing a mental health break.

“Having people to talk to helps”

“Don’t hide how you feel it takes a strong man to share his feelings” – Cooper Thomas

You can see the entire portrait collection on Jane’s Instagram page here.
